Keeping “Fish Only” Aquarium

Aquariums with few corals or easy maintenance require special attention

For aquariums with few corals or those designed for easy maintenance, particularly those exclusively housing fish, establishing a robust biological filter is paramount. This ensures the immediate degradation of ammonia produced by the fish, creating a secure environment for their well-being.

Maintaining water quality is of utmost importance, as poor water conditions can lead to the development of diseases, significantly impacting the fish’s immune system.

In the case of “fish only” aquariums, we recommend utilizing Xepta Reef Bac and Xepta Reef NP Out following the instructions and doses outlined in the importance of the ionic balance. These products assist in maintaining nutrient levels within safe ranges for the fish and promote the swift and efficient execution of the nitrogen cycle by enhancing the biological filter.

To further enhance water quality, it is advisable to conduct weekly or biweekly water changes, involving 10-20% of the aquarium’s water volume, using our Xepta Reef Salt. This practice significantly contributes to the improvement of water quality, ensuring a healthier and safer environment for the fish.
