Browser update for G1 model

For versions 1.8 or lower and Direct Connection autoBalance

Download a firmware version

Download one of the available autoBalance firmware versions. We recommend that you upgrade directly to the latest version.

Very important: These versions are only for the G1 model. The G2 model has its own firmware.

Upgrade process:

  1. Get the autoBalance IP: In the App, go to Settings > System Info > IP (If you are in direct connection the IP will be 192.168.4.1).
  2. Open any browser and type in the address: http://192.168.1.xxx/upload (replacing the IP address with the one obtained in the previous step) or http://192.168.4.1/upload if you use Direct Connecion. You can use any browser from any device (computer, mobile…) that is connected to the same WiFi network. If it is in direct connection it must be a device connected to the Autobalance_AccessPoint.
  3. Enter: “admin” in the Username field and “AutoBalance” for Password (respecting capital letters), and click on “Login”.
  4. Enter the MD5 code that appeared next to the download link and select the file (firmware-ab-x-x-x.bin).
  5. Click “Upload” and wait until you see “Upload success”.

In case of “Upload Error” try again. This is a normal situation. The system has some security checks, which prevent the system from booting with the upgraded system in case of any minor failure. If after several attempts, the system does not update, download the file again and make sure that the MD5 code is correct.

After the update all settings may have been deleted and the computer will need to be reconnected to the Internet. This is because some updates require memory reformatting.
