Direct connection – first time connection
You must first make a direct connection, before you can configure the WiFi.
First you must connect your mobile device directly to the autoBalance. To do this, the autoBalance is initially set to “Access Point” mode, i.e. it is configured as if it were a WiFi access point, but without Internet. Once you have connected your mobile to the autoBalance acces point you can connect the autoBalance to your WiFi. WiFi connectio is recommended, as the equipment and the connection will be more stable, and the results could be uploaded to the cloud.
- Install the autoBalance App in your mobile phone, but do not open it. You can download it from Google Play for Android devices or from the App Store for iOS devices like iPhone or iPad.
- Connect the autoBalance to the power supply and wait for the LED to turn blue.
- Log in to the WiFi networks of your mobile device.
- Wait until the AutoBalance_Access_Point network is displayed.
- Select the AutoBalance_Access_Point network and enter the password: 123456789. You may get a warning that it is a connection without Internet or similar, you must accept it to be able to connect it.
- Disconnect the mobile data. This step is optional on some phones, but mandatory on others, we recommend that you disconnect them just in case, at least the first time. If this step is mandatory for your mobile, and you do not disconnect them, the App will not be able to detect the autoBalance.
- Open the App. Wait until it shows a window with a text and two options:
- Yes (recommended). This option is to connect the autoBalance to your local WiFi network. To connect the autoBalance to your local WIFi network, follow the instructions in the App or read the related article.
- Keep the direct connection. This option is for direct connection. Anytime you try to connect with this option you will be asked if you want to connect the device to the WiFi. If you normally use this type of connection make sure that your mobile is connected to the AutoBalance_Access_Point.
- If the autoBalance was connected to the WiFi network but has lost the connection, it will go into accessPoint mode, but every 4/5 minutes it will try to connect again to the WiFi network. So if you connect directly you may notice at times that it does not respond. It does this to try to recover the connection as soon as possible, for example after a power outage.
If you don’t manage to connect the WiFi, see the related article.
