Stirring magnet does not spin or spin loosely

If the reagent is not mixing well, the KH result will be too high or will not finish.

The reagent is not mixing well because the stirring magnet is not spinning, or because it is missing. It is also possible that it is spinning loosely and not remains on the bottom. Contact Xepta to find out if the stirrer motor is not working. If there has been a leak, it is possible that the leak has landed on the stirrer motor and it has rusted and failed. If this is the case, please note that the warranty (if your equipment is under warranty) will not cover the possible repair.

If you have lost the stirrer magnet, contact your retailer to purchase a replacement stirrer magnet.

Test to identify if the stirrer motor is not working:

1. Go to settings in the App.
2. Tap over IP option 5-6 times until the “Start stirrer motor” option shows up at the bottom ot the options. (Be sure you have las App version)
3. Tap “Start stirrer motor” option.
4. The stirrer motor should spin, and you will hear a smooth noise. I you don´t hear it either the motor is broken or it’s the electronics.
5. Stop the stirrer motor with the “Stop stirrer motor” option

Leaks could cause the stirrer motor failure, if is that your case you have to know that warranty won´t apply in this case.
