XEPTA AUTOBALANCE & ABEX
This privacy policy governs the use of mobile applications created and maintained by Xepta Reef, S.L.:

In accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data (General Data Protection Regulation – GDPR), Xepta Reef, S.L. informs the users of the various Xepta applications (hereinafter, the Applications), about the processing of personal data, which they have voluntarily provided during the process of registration, access and use of the service.
IDENTIFICATION OF THE PERSON IN CHARGE OF THE TREATMENT.
Xepta Reef, S.L. with CIF/NIF nº: B01580927 and address for notification purposes at: Calle Olite 14, Entreplanta. office 3.2, 31002 Pamplona (hereinafter, the Data Controller), is the entity responsible for the processing of the data provided by the customers of the Application (hereinafter, the User/s).
What information does the Application obtain and how is it used?
Information provided by the user:
The App does not require any registration with Xepta, but it does require the User to maintain an account on Google’s Play Store for Android in order to download the Apps or Apple’s App Store. Likewise only Xepta customers or owners of any of Xepta’s electronic devices such as autoBalance or aBex, are entitled to use the apps corresponding to their device. The information provided by the customer, is held by Xepta.
Information obtained automatically:
Additionally, the application may automatically collect other information, such as: type of mobile device, user’s country, IP address, operating system of the mobile device and information on how the application is used.
Cloud services
If the user deems it appropriate, he/she can enable the cloud service. In case of enabling the cloud service, data about autoBalance device usage, analysis, calibrations, configurations, etc. will be automatically stored. And this information will be accessible to the user remotely. It will also be accessible to Xepta, but this information will be anonymized and no personal information will be stored. Xepta will only access this information anonymously or in order to provide assistance to a user who has previously requested it. In any case this access to the information will be done through the anonymous MAC code and upon request of the user.
Notification services
The notification system is only available for users of autoBalance G2 and later (not for the first generation of autoBalance). The notification system requires the cloud service, whereby the conditions of the previous section must be accepted. The notification service requires device identification and registration, so the mobile device ID will be stored, along with the autoBalance device ID. These IDs are anonymous, so no personal information will be stored with these IDs.
Device name
The user is free to assign a name to their autoBalance device, this option is offered to anyone who has more than one autoBalance device, as a way for the user to identify notifications or to identify which autoBalance they want to connect to, either remotely or locally. For example, if an analysis result is provided by notification, the user can know which autoBalance is being referred to. This name, if used, will also be stored in the Xepta database, so we recommend that it does not contain personal data.
Does the application obtain accurate and real-time information from the device?
The application does not collect real-time and accurate information from the device’s location or cameras. It only accesses the location in order to provide information on available WiFi connections for connection to the Xepta electronic device.
Can third parties gain access to the information obtained by the application?
Xepta may share the information provided by the user or obtained automatically in the following cases:
When required by law.
When the company deems it necessary to protect security, investigate fraud or in response to a government request.
With vendors working on our behalf who have agreed to abide by the rules set forth in this privacy policy.
Automatic Data Collection and Advertising
Xepta does not currently work with outside companies that collect data for their use.
Applications developed by Xepta that collect information about users/customers (upon request) such as name, email or phone number transmit the information through the HTTPS protocol or directly by the customer/user. This information is used only to validate the user’s participation in special offers or services accessed through the use of the application, and the data will not be given or sold to third parties.
Information Retention and Handling Policy
Xepta will retain the data provided by users and automatically collected data indefinitely for the correct use of the application.
Security
In Xepta we care about safeguarding the confidentiality of user information, so we have the necessary measures to achieve this goal. We limit access to this information to authorized employees and contractors who need to know that information to operate, develop or improve our applications.
Changes
This Privacy Policy may be updated as we deem appropriate. We will notify you of any changes to our privacy policy by posting the new privacy policy on this page.
