How electromagnetic fields affect measurements
Powerfull pumps, magnets and electromagnets, power supplies, wires, or other electronic device could affect
The aBex sensors are electrodes that measure voltages, and such voltages may be disturbed by electromagnetic fields. The aBex is protected against these electromagnetic fields, and the equipment has systems to compensate for them, but this protection only goes so far. If the electromagnetic fields are too strong, they can affect the correct measurement.
Look for these devices:
- Powerfull pumps, like motion pumps or water pumps
- Power supplies
- Light systems
- Power strips and wires
- Other electronic devices
If you think this might be the case, try to move any electromagnetic field generating devices away. Note that some of these fields can be generated even when the devices are switched off. Ask Xepta for help if you are unable to identify the device that is affecting you, and we will help you to perform a sensor test.
